The Programs of the American Indian Heritage Foundation

The American Indian Heritage Foundation, sponsor of Indians.org has a two fold mission, serving the tribes and sharing the culture. Our programs include national emergency relief to the needy, scholarships for young American Indian women and Indian student Eagle Awards given through Indian elementary, middle and high schools thoughout the United States each year.

Our programs designed to share the culture include; promotion of November, National American Indian Heritage Month, support for Pow Wows and Indian ceremonies, and printed materials provided to the public to promote a national public awareness of the contributions of native americans, as well as the culture, traditions and special needs of American Indian people. AIHF has been serving our native people for over 30 years, and registered in the Guide Star database, the official database of recognized National 501(c)(3) Charities.

AIHF sponsored the Bill through Congress in 1990 to commerate November as National American Indian Heritage Month and continues to sponsor and promote Indian culture during this special month each year.

Emergency Relief Distribution Program

AIHF has distributed to date an excess of $40 millions in food, clothing, blankets, toys, building supplies, educational materials, medical equipment & supplies ect.,

National Miss Indian USA Scholarship Program

This annual AIHF sponsored event has enriched the lives of hundreds of young Indian women. The program theme "She Walks In Beauty, As She Walks In Two Worlds", encourages young Indian women to balance the traditional ways of their ancestors with the ways of the modern world.

National American Indian Student Eagle Awards Program

This youth awards program, K - 12, established in 1983 seeks to build confidence, self-esteem and self-awareness in American Indian youth through public acknowledgment and reward for their achievements.
