Inuit FlagThe Nunatsiavut In Inuktitut, Nunatsiavut means Our Beautiful Land. This name was authorized by the Labrador Inuit Constitution passed by the Labrador Inuit Association in the year 2002. One of the major intentions of self-government is to conserve the Inuit culture and language as well as the environment. The Significance of the Inuit Inukshuk Inuit Flag That appearance of a pile of rocks on the Nunatsiavut flag is referred to as an Inukshuk is an Inuit construction that typically functions as a landmark on the unremarkable tundra; however, the Inuit Nunavut flag, of course, has additional meanings. The Nunatsiavut flag was adopted by the Labrador Inuit Association. The flag which is also considered to be an Inuit flag because it was adopted to signify the Inuit of Labrador and their claims settlement area referred to as Nunatsiavut.
