Behind the music and our most recent recording "Promise".

Harold Cedartree, a Cheyenne / Arapaho man from Geary, Oklahoma, commited his later years to passing on of the Indian ways to the youth, primarily young Indian boys.

Mr. Cedartree was a strict teacher that commanded respect, discipline, commitment, practice, practice and more practice of his students, "If your going to learn to sing or dance, practice hard so you will do it well".

As young boy's we wanted to dance but Mr. Cedartree said you can only be a good dancer when you learn to respect the drum and learn to sing the songs.

Promise was recorded live at many different pow wows over a 6 month period during the summer of 1998.

And so the story goes... today we find great joy in providing good music for those that love to dance, and those that can't and those that just want to listen. We continue to practice often, sing hard and hopefully bring respect to our namesake Harold Cedartree...Promise!
